The Humble beginnings of Tiber MacReid

Tiber, named after his fathers grandfather Tiberius, was raised in far away lands in a region known only as "The Highlands". His father was a miner, as was his father, and on down for four previous generations. His mother and sister had passed on some years before to the plague. So when he was old enough his father took him to the mountain and taught him the art of mining. In no time Tiber had mastered his family's skill, working callouses on his strong gentle hands. After a time, he grew weary of the long hours and hard work that he did day in and day out, to help support he and his father.

One beutiful sunny afternoon, he happened upon a man at the forge in Britain named Dheryth Feyne. As Tiber was a miner he was in town to sell his first large sum of ingots he had produced in his weeks of digging. Dheryth immediately could see a hunger for adventure in the young man, he also saw a warm heart, and a strong soul. He took the young boy under his wing for a short time, and showed him some of the things he needed to know to survive in these harsh lands. Upon parting, Dheryth tossed the boy a bag with 2000 gold pieces and told him to buy some armor and a good weapon. After seeing so much treachery in the lands, he was amazed at the generosity of this GM blacksmith.

So Tiber set out to fulfill his dream of becoming a warrior. He immediately went back to the smiths shop, and bought a set of plate armor. And while Dheryth happened to be back at the anvils, he gave Tiber a beutifully crafted Halberd, the weapon that always had caught his eye. He went home to show his father the wonderful things he had bought, but was not prepared for the response he rested upon him. "You`re going to get yourself killed"! his father proclaimed. "You are a miner boy, and its going to stay that way". His father took his things from him there on the spot, shattering his dream of one day being a great warrior.

As Time Passed, his father grew sick and died in the mine, in his sons lap. It was the hardest day of Tibers life. For weeks he couldn't bring himself to enter the mines. One afternoon, as his supplies had dwindled away, he came to town to sell some of his ingots. While there, he came upon another kind gentleman. A fearless warrior named Lex. A mighty maceman and fencer, he too saw the hunger for battle in Tibers eyes, and started talking to the young lad. Again, Tiber began to feel the hunger deep within him, and he listened intently to the endless stories of Lexs' adventures. As it happened, that night as he was sorting the things his father left behind, he discovered a large bag stuffed in a corner behind some of his fathers belongings. To his amazement, inside the bag he found his armor, as shiny as the day it was made, and upon further investigation, he found his halberd, tucked away cleverly under his fathers bed.

He immediately set out for the city of Britan, to search out the man who revitalized his passion for the sword. After a few days of waiting by the forge, and wandering around the town, he found Lex milling about at the bank. Tiber had his armor on and his halberd in hand, and asked Lex if he would be willing to mentor him into a great a warrior just as he was. On the spot Lex took Tiber to the PS guid headquarters, a tower, of which Lex was a member of the High Council. Never in his life had Tiber seen such elegance and was amazed at the enormity of the building. Lex took him upstairs to the training center, showing him all of the fundamentals important to a young warrior. For days he trained, beating up polar bears with a butcher knife, and working magery to heal himself, which Lex told him was vital if you wanted to survive. There he also met Lex's sister Belle, whom he was also training to be a warrior. Side by side he and Belle trained, working thier skills closer to perfection. Thus began his destiny .

As the weeks went by Tiber grew into a Master swordsman, yet had not experienced the emotions of slaying a real opponent. Lex decided he was now ready to face the dangerous world outside of the guards protection. So they set forth west out of Britain, into the wilderness on the other side of the mountain pass, which Tiber had never crosssed until this day. Nervous, yet very excited, he stepped foot into the woods, immediately coming upon a troll. He was amazed at their size and strength, and frankly had never smelled such a vial odor. Lex stood back to watch his fiery apprentice slay the troll, with some good footwork to step away and heal before finishing it off in a robust swing of his halberd, taking off the trolls head. He proudly looted his first kill, and put the gold in his pack. Soonafter, Lex asked him if he would like to join his guild. Tiber decided that he would join. Having been alone since his father had died, he had come to enjoy the friendship of Lex, and some of his guildbrothers. He soon rose himself to the Council of the guild, leading his own regiment of warriors into many battles. Some he won, some he lost, but he made a name for himself in the lands by his honorable deeds, and his strong convictions to uphold what he viewed as justice against the scurge that plagued his adopted homelands.

As time went by though, the guild grew apart, and fell as most guilds do in time. Tiber, Lex, and Belle held their friendship together through thick and thin, and one afternoon while on a quest with the Museum of Memories to escort a caravan of treasures from Minoc to Trinsic, Belle introduced Tiber to a friend of hers named Fredolf. Fredolf introduced himself as a Knight of Britannia, but before Tiber could inquire as to what that was, the caravan departed, and he found Fredolf to be lost in the crowd of people. The Caravan was attacked many times along the way, and Tiber mightily wielded his sword, and as he was now an accomplished mage, hurled spells at his enemies, watching them drop to the ground. As one of the few survivors when the caravan finally came to a halt, he again ran into Fredolf, who explained further about The Knights of Britannia. He told him they were a guild of Honor and Loyalty, two attributes that were rare in the despicable world he lived in. He also explained thier quest for Justice. As Tiber had been slain countless times by pk's and stolen from repeatedly, he was intrigued by the thoughts of hunting those who hunted him. Tiber imediately expressed interest in joining this brotherhood, and so Fredolf introduced him to Duergar, as he already had two charges of his own. Soon later Tiber was recruited into KOB, and eventually rose to the rank of Squire. He began to feel a passion for magery, and realized that that was what he was destined to be(although he still worked to keep his sword as mighty). He began to practice his magery more intently while hunting, even leaving behind his weapons and just bringing with him a large amount of reagents to cast his deadly spells. Now as he strives for the very hard earned title of Grandmaster Mage, he continues to seek out the vile citizens who plague the lands and protect the innocent people of Britannia.
