As a young man growing up in Minoc, Saliador learned quickly that a life of hard labor and toil was not for him. He yearned for knowledge, and quickly began studying magery from the few travelers that would teach him. One of these travellers, Bale, was a Knight of Britannia. Bale saw in young Saliador a well of talent that could be useful for his guild, and so he took it upon himself to finance the young mans further education. Saliador immediately took this opportunity and traveled via moongates to the famous magical city itself: Moonglow.
Saliador quickly realized that it was not within Bales means to finance his magical studies completely, so he learned a new craft. By working as a tailor during the day, Saliador was able to practice his spellcasting at night in the quiet forests of Moonglow. Though tailoring was indeed difficult and tiring, it was not the back-breaking labor that he refused to do earlier in his life. He did not leave the island often, and spent much time working as a scribe in the Lycaeum, where he was tutored by the monks who live there. Though working as a scribe taught Sal much in the ways of magic, it was not very profitable until later.
Finally, Saliador was advanced enough to be called an Expert in the field of magery. At this time, he heard of the fabled city of mages, Wind. Sal took it upon himself to find the legendary city, and though his quest was long and hard, he did find his way to the magical teleporter into Wind. Saliador did not hesitate before the teleporter, and was rewarded with self-confidence when the teleporter let him pass, proclaiming his worth as a mage.
Sal continued his advanced magical studies in Wind, working by
day as a tailor for the wizards passing through. During his
stay in Wind, he would participate more frequently in KOB dungeon
crawls and other activities. He learned more and more
during this time of the horrible acts that some people were
capable of, and swore that he would work tirelessly against the
wicked. Luckily for him, that is what KOB stood for, so he
found many sympathizers to his ideals. At this stage,
Saliador was truly devoted to the Knights of Britannia.
Upon his advancement to the level of Adept Mage, Saliador left
Wind and took up residence in the KOB guildhouse from then
on. Though of course he coutinues to practice magery, he
also spends his time tutoring others in the guild in the Art,
returning to the world what was given to him. Though he is
old, he is still a potent adversary, and can still be seen in
dungeons with other KOB members.
