Stirring within the comfort of his darkness, the Guardian looked on as the inhabitance of Arrakis warred. Such an environment was just what the Guardian needed, he could feel the hate, sorrow, ohhhhh the anguish. It all felt so good to him. But then this lone soldier came forth and united the people, driving out the evil. How dare he ruin such a wonderful plan the Guardian had formulated for this barren dry planet, to have it all washed away by this, this "Maud'Dib".
Reaching through space and time. The Guardian extended his mighty hand forth and snatched Maud'Dib from his world.
"I should crush you and leave your body to the great emptiness of space for what you have done!!! That which I have watched grow with great eagerness you have put asunder. For this you will pay, just as did the Avatar. I will place you in a world wrought with great dangers and you will be powerless to stop them, for I have a firm grasp on these puny people."
With a might roar of pain and anger, the Guardian cast out his hand. Throwing Maud'Dib threw space and time to the world of 'Sosaria'. Daze and confused, Maud'Dib stumbled to his feet not quite sure what had just happened. "Was it all a dream?" looking around at the lush forest and green grass before him, "No!!! What creature can possible posses such a power, I am truly on another world." As he began to walk he did not know where or in what direction to go, only that he should move. Still wearing his Arrakis dress armor Maud'Dib felt at least a little comfort in the protection it offered.
After nearly a full day of walking Maud'Dib found himself standing just outside what surely had to be the capital city of this strange world. Stretching as far as the eye could see were the homes and shops of thousands upon thousands of people, and standing at its center were what appeared to be the outline of two castles. "Castles?" thinking to himself, "what strange land is this?" His suspicions were soon confirmed when young noble wearing chainmail came >galloping down a nearby road.
"Hail Sir" yell Maud'Dib. "Might I have a moment of your time?"
Raining in his horse the young man approached with some apprehension. "How may I be of service good sir" the young man replied. "Could you tell me sir, where am I? I… I mean what city stands before me?"
With a look of utter disbelief the young man spoke, "Why this is 'Britain' City of Compassion, home to Lord British and Blackthorn. By the gods' man, how could you not know this? Are you feeling alright, have you been poisoned?"
"Um… Um no, no its ok kind sir I just lost my bearings for a second. Thank you for your help." With a deep bow the young noble set out at a gallop making his way for the city. "It would be in my best interest to find a library or a holocron, if they even have such a place in this world, and educate myself to their cultures and customs."
With a plan in place Maud'Dib set out with a little more confidence. Once within the depths of the city he then asked direction for the nearest library. With great relief he was given direction to the city library, making his way inside he went to the nearest shelf and began leafing through a book.
"By the maker! What is this manner of writing? I can not make sense of this script. I must seek elsewhere for information."
Cursing to himself Maud'Dib stormed out the door of the library and ran full force in to a warrior walking down the street. Knocking them both to the ground he noticed quickly the rather large and very sharp sword strapped at the side of the man he had just slammed to the ground. Cursing and mumbling to himself Maud'Dib stood and then extended his hand to the man on the ground.
"Thank you sir, what is the great hurry?" replied the warrior.
"My apologies Sir. I am just a little put out at the moment." Figuring this was an opportunity to meet some of the locals he again extended his hand, "My name is Maud'Dib. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Laughing the warrior also extended his hand; "Well this is not how I normally meet people, but a pleasure to meet you. My name is Bale, Knight of KoB." Looking Maud'Dib over Bale frowned. "Have you been robbed Maud'Dib? With the exception of this strange armor you wear, you carry no weapons or backpack."
Thinking quickly Maud'Dib replied, "Aye Bale in a matter of speaking I have been robbed, of both my belongings and my memory" adding the part about his memory Maud'Dib felt this would help explain his lack of knowledge when speaking of common facts.
"What!!!" Bale replied. "You mean to tell me you have no memories what so ever?" "Aye, the robbers must have hit me harder than I thought. Might I ask if it would be too much trouble to travel with you Bale? At least until my memory has returned to me."
"Not at all Maud Eh, you don't mind if I call you Maud, do you?" With a grin Maud'Dib replied "No not at all, perfectly all right". Slapping him on the back Bale then said, "Well then let us be off I am in a hurry, big guild meeting tonight. This will be a good opportunity for you to make some new friends Maud. Shall we go?"
And with that Maud'Dib began his life in 'Sosaria', and within KoB.
