In the First Months of the creation of Order and Chaos, Iberon
stepped forth from boyhood to manhood. Being pure of Heart,
Iberon took in the world in which he stood with a grin on his
face and a twinkle in his eye. For now he could choose his own
path.
At first, with an interest in creating armor for battle-hardened
warriors, Iberon set to work in the mountains North of Minoc. He
found the miners to be a cautious, yet friendly and helpful sort,
and quickly grew to enjoy the toil of extracting metal from the
rock and earth. But as his body became accustomed to the hard
work, his mind became aware of the plight that seemed to permeate
the small town around him.
At first, it was the thieves. Their constant presence was an
annoyance that could not be placated, like a fly that continued
to buzz in his ear.
Then came the Murderers. On the unpleasant occasion of his first
death and resurrection, Iberon knew that a new path had been
chosen for him.
Along with his constant companion and mentor, Casper, Iberon
began training in the Skills of Combat. Even though the sword was
his first love, Casper insisted that Iberon learn the knowledge
of the fight, the usefulness of the bow, and the necessity of
magery. To be one dimensional was to be dead. Slowly at first,
then learning quickly, Casper pronounced Iberon Master of the
Sword, the Battle, and the Bow.
It was at this time that Iberon crossed paths with the Honorable
Knight Leon Mane of KOB in the dungeon of Shame. He quickly saw
in Sir Leon that which he had been missing. A way of life that
would pit him against that which he loathed. Sir Leon described
in GREAT detail ;-) how the three pillars of Honor, Loyalty, and
Justice served him well in his battles against the minions of
darkness. They became fast friends, and soon Iberon asked Sir
Leon to teach him the way of the KOB.
And so, as Squire to Sir Leon Mane of KOB, the life of Honor,
Loyalty, and Justice became Iberon's ultimate goal.
