Jessica Zacharias was born in the outskirts of Britain to Ryan and Kaitlynn Zacharias. Kaitlynn, a gentle woman reknowned for her exceptional beauty, died in childbirth. Ryan, a carpenter of some repute, and a man of fiery temper, swore to raise Jessica to the best of his ability, in memory of his departed wife. As Jessica grew, it was apparent that she had inherited the gift of carpentry from her father, as well as his fiery nature. It was common during her early years to see her scampering through the trees where her father was cutting, with a child-sized hatchet in hand. Because of her temper, Ryan began calling her "my little Furie".

One late autumn afternoon, the two set out for Yew, to harvest wood where it was more plentiful. Jessica climbed a tree and sat happily in its boughs while watching her father work. Suddenly, a small band of rogues appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, and attacked him! Jessica, knowing there was nothing she could do, clung to the tree in terror and outrage as she watched her father die, and watched the savages pick his body clean of any valuables they could retrieve. Just as they were leaving, Jessica lost her grip on the branch she was holding and tumbled to the ground. Terrified, she looked at the evildoers that surrounded her. They pondered her for a moment and one said: "Let's leave her be, we'll find her again when she's older, she might be some fun for us then." The group laughed and wandered off, leaving her miserable and frightened. Gently, she buried her father beneath the trees he so loved, and set off to return to Britain, determined to find a way to avenge the death of her father.

Upon returning to town, she gathered what meager resources she had saved, and decided to try to earn a living for herself so that she might learn to defend herself from the bandits who threatened to return for her. At that moment, she determined that she would get the better of them. She abandoned her given name, choosing instead Ryan's favorite pet name for her: Furie. She took over her father's carpentry business and began earning a small profit for herself. A few years later, while doing some shopping in the city, she met a lady named Seth. The two began talking, and formed an instant friendship. Seth and Furie pooled what resources they had, and bought themselves a small home, where they enjoyed each others company for many months. Both worked hard on learning the ways of the warrior and of the mage, and spent much time together hunting the evil creatures nearby and taking what they could glean from them to support themselves.

After a time, Seth began staying away frm the house for long stretches of time. Furie became more and more despondent, until one day Seth returned home with the wonderful news that she had found a guild, a brotherhood where she felt at home. This guild was called the Knights of Britannia, and they were committed to fighting evil. Furie, whose past was never far from her mind, was immediately interested. Shortly thereafter, Furie was introduced to KOB, and was quickly admitted to their ranks. The house, once the site of many happy memories, eventually fell into ruin, but Furie was so happy with her new group of friends, she scarcely noticed. Within this group, she was able to perfect her skills as a warrior, and become a very accomplished mage, and now looks forward to the day she can be reunited with the band that slew her father, so she may exact her revenge.
